Another little weekend trip, another weekend packing post! We drove up to NWA this weekend for a little R&R and once again, I fit everything into my dear Saturday Weekender. Here's what I packed ::
Friday we left a little early to make the drive up, so I dressed comfortably. Once we arrived at our hotel (The Aloft Rogers-Bentonville) we hit up the hotel bar for a few cocktails and people watching. Aloft hotels have great little bars so you don't have to stray far for decent nightlife. Saturday morning, we made our way into Bentonville to have brunch at the 21c Museum Hotel where I had some LEGIT eggs benedict and hung out with the green penguins. After, we hit up Crystal Bridges and I was blown away by not only how beautiful the museum was, but how many great pieces were housed there. I had a bit of a fan girl moment over a Nick Cave piece and spent about an hour staring at the giant Rothko. Flats are a must for this museum space - it's cleverly laid out in a giant square, and there's a large amount of walking if you want to see it all! Saturday night, we headed down to Fayetteville to watch the (terrible, horrifying) Arkansas game on Dickson Street, followed by burritos at The Flying Burrito Company, basically one of my favorite restaurants on earth. We used to have one in Little Rock, but apparently the employees were too high to actually serve any food (or maybe they ate it all?) and it closed. Sunday was reserved for lunch at Houlihan's and shopping at the PInnacle Hills Promenade. After that, it was back in the car and back down to Little Rock, so it was another comfy outfit for the road.
And yep - everything fit in my small weekender (pictured in the first photo on the slideshow)! I use the bottom zip compartment for shoes and hair tools (ie straightener) and reserve the top part for all of my clothes. It's my absolute favorite bag to use for a short weekend! I also threw a dress in the bag just in case we decided to have a fancy dinner, but this weekend called for more casual attire and I didn't need it. There was still plenty of room for it though. Stuff the holes with scarves to change up the look of your outfits and you're ready to go!
If you like, check out where else I've been (and what I packed to get there).
