It's all about the skirts this spring! Retailers are showing off statement skirts in a variety of styles, shapes, prints and colors. I dropped by The Promenade to put together outfits using great skirts for a variety of occasions.
Pinterest loves a tulle skirt - I do too, I get it - but those aren't always practical for every day. Or ever. White House Black Market had a slightly more subdued take on the tulle skirt and felt appropriate enough to wear almost anywhere, including work. If you want to try this very "Carrie" style skirt, keep the rest of your pieces classic. A striped shirt, black and white blazer, or crisp white blouse are all great options for making a flowy skirt like this one work for the office.
For a more casual look, I headed to J.Crew to find some weekend wear. I love the look of a great little skirt and chambray shirt for running around on a Saturday! Dress down a work skirt for weekend by tying a slouchy shirt over the top or tucking in a colorful tee.
For a Night Out:
Give yourself a break from the mini skirt for a night out and pick up something subtly sexy like this high-low skirt from Indigo. This one actually wraps around in the front so it flutters so nicely around your legs while still showing off your awesome shoes. This style skirt looks great with a cropped tank, printed bustier, or a bright tee.
If you're looking for some snappy skirts for spring, I saw plenty at The Promenade. And great news for my Arkansas readers! I'm giving away a $50 gift card to the Promenade at Chenal.
