Wear it Now, Wear it Later

Since Spring is a transitional season, I love finding pieces that will work well now and into Summer later. I dropped by The Promenade earlier this week and found some super cute items that you should work into your wardrobe stat!

First stop, Altar'd State. I spotted this poncho-type top immediately and thought of festival season. Memphis in May! Riverfest! This is perfect with a pair of cutoffs and a cute hat for the spring season, then rock it at the pool and lake later this summer as a coverup.

Next stop: Loft, for work clothes. This dress is PERFECT. Seriously, just go buy it. The ruching on the side is ultra flattering, and it looks great with a utility jacket for spring. This summer, ditch the jacket and add a little color with a scarf.

For the dudes, I find that their wardrobes mix & match throughout the year pretty easily, so I wanted to create two outfits at Gearhead Outfitters. This super cute chambray shirt and comfy shorts for now, and board shorts and a great tee for later.

Finally, the accessories. Obviously Charming Charlie is a one-stop shop for all things accessorized, so I pulled some pastel necklaces and bags for your spring ensembles. They'll make anything feel fresh. Bonus: The adorable mint crossbody is the perfect size for your iPhone 6 plus (I have this problem where it doesn't fit in things, so this is a big deal!). For later, these bright Bali-inspired pieces will add a punch to a summer ensemble. I like to use accessories in the summer to add interest to simple outfits, since it's so hot in Arkansas.

Finally, SUNGLASSES. The year-round staple accessory. I fully support having a sunglasses "wardrobe" if you will. You may not even realize it, but James Eye Care has an amaaaazing selection of designer sunglasses (Gucci, Kate Spade, Ray Ban!). I picked a few of my favorites that I'd like to add to my collection.
