Apple Watch Arm Party

My husband and I are tech nerds. We have a smart thermostat you can control from your phone that learns your habits. We almost always upgrade to the latest iPhone, and if one upgrades the other has to just to avoid jealousy.  Between the two of us, we must have at least 10 different cameras. So when Apple announced the Watch, of COURSE we had to have those too.

I stayed up the night of pre-orders and ordered ours at 2:01 am in stainless steel, 38mm for me, 42 for BB. So the most asked question I get these days is, "How do you like it?"

The answer, of course, is that I love it. I love the idea of detaching myself from my phone and having one device to aggregate fitness, notifications and communication from. There's something oddly satisfying about filling those three rings on the activity app each day - calories, standing, and workout. I hit my first perfect week last week and I felt like SUPER WOMAN.

The Apple Watch has been great for keeping me from randomly checking my phone, too. If something happens, Watch notifies me. Otherwise, my phone can stay in my purse. Also, lets go ahead and talk about how AWESOME it is that I don't have to dig through my purse to find my phone when someone calls.

On top of all of that, it's absolutely gorgeous. I chose the milanese loop for my first band because I wanted it to have a dressy, fashionable look; after a week or two I bought the white sport band for something a little edgier (plus it was weird wearing a metal band to the gym).

Since I wear the watch every day, I've been shopping for some delicate rings and bracelets to pair with the watch to dress the whole wrist up. Here are a few of my favorites from Shopbop:

Gorjana // Kate Spade // Elizabeth and James
