It's no secret that I haaaaaaate summer. It's the worst. It's sweaty, it's uncomfortable, and it's some of the most uninventive fashion of the entire year.
That being said, I've got a few summer essentials that I live in every year.
Cute Flat Sandals
Flip flops are a big no in my book. There is no reason for an adult to be wearing a foam thong anywhere but the pool when there are so many adorable flat options.
Why rompers? Because they're cool, make you look put together with little effort, and they keep your thighs from attacking each other. Not everyone has this problem, but for those of us who do, it's a nice alternative to dresses.
Big Ole Sunnies
Sunglasses are essential for keeping the bright summer sun out of your eyes, sure. But did you know they're also great for A) looking awesome and B) covering up the fact that you forgot to buy waterproof mascara? If you're going to be outside enjoying summer sun, your face must be as well accessorized as the rest of you. Sunglasses are basically your entire face during the summer months, so make sure the people of snapchat have something super chic to look at.
Parts of this post brought to you by Shopbop, who will likely sponsor this summer's next pair of sunglasses. The other parts are just some stuff I found online. This post, while inspired by summer, is not brought to you by summer, because summer is the worst. I cannot wait for October (the official end of summer in Arkansas, unfortunately).
