August hits and I am READY FOR FALL. I know, I know. It's ridiculous. It will remain in the 100s here all month, and it stays warm enough to melt your coconut oil until about Halloween. I can't help but get excited about all of the fall clothes in my closet I'll get to pull out soon. These are my favorite things I can't wait to wear again.
I went a little [p]leather crazy last year - Leather pants, shorts, skirts, you name it. I suppose you could wear them through the summer months, but sans Harley the sweat factor is too much to bear. I leave these less breathable fabrics for the cooler weather, so I can't wait to pull out my liquid leggings, leather pants, swingy leather skirts, and adorable leather shorts as soon as the temp drops.
BOOTS. BOOOOOOTS. I love boots. So, so so so so so much. It's a disease. The 1st of September I am just chomping at the bit to pull out my boots and start wearing them, but it's still too hot and I end up with sweaty calves. Save the knee-highs for After October 15th, but feel free to rock some booties to help your summer wardrobe transition to fall.
Okay, now you can call me crazy, but I miss layers too. I get so tired of my summer uniform of loose tank + shorts + sandals. It's just hard to be fashionable when it's so warm! I love coats and cardigans and blazers and can't wait for the winter layers. You can totally hit me in the face through your computer now, I know my friend Amy is. She would rather melt than the season change to fall. I wish it were year round.
What are you looking forward to pulling out of your closet come the cooler temps?
