What I Wore :: Pushing the Season

Okay, I admit it. I love fall and the second temps dip below 100 I am ready to pull out boots and sweaters. BB accused me of pushing the season in my fall colors today, but I informed him that while I was sporting my darker tones, I was doing so in a "summer to fall" manner.

If you're dying to dip into your fall duds too, here are a couple of tips for not melting (as it is still in the 90s, I'm not a crazy person!). I chose this fun sleeveless top from The Limited to keep cool but paired it with darker colored jeans (JustFab) and my ShoeMint leopard booties. Choosing a sleeveless sweater is pretty much like wearing a fancy tank top, and with darker jeans becomes fall-tastic.

I saw my friend Sandra today and she said she was jealous I'd already pulled out my leopard booties! It felt like a pre-fall ritual, pulling the box from my closet and slipping them on. I love these boots, they're probably my most reached for pair in cooler weather.

Season pushers might be slipping into boots a little early - so keep it summer-to-fall appropriate by choosing booties or shooties. No one is wearing knee high boots yet (way too hot!) but if they would be appropriate this time of year with a dress, you're good to go.

Hamming for the camera. Sometimes I don't know what to do while we're taking pictures so I just make horrible faces. You're welcome.
