I always remember Easter as being the "official" start of spring. When I was a little girl, I'd get a new dress and shoes and sometimes even a hat for church and egg hunting on Easter Sunday. 75% of the time, it was so cold and rainy I couldn't enjoy my new spring outfit. But every now and then, Easter would hit on a sunny, warm Sunday and I'd wear my white shoes with pride.
This year, things started off rainy and it didn't look good, but by the afternoon it was sunny and 70. Feels like spring, finally! People were out walking, biking, and playing ball. I love that! We've got to do everything we can outside before the heat and humidity take over.
From my little family to yours, Happy Easter and Happy Spring. May we never put on a jacket again...until October.
